Welcome to the amazing world of mountaineering in Pakistan. Latok III is a challenging 6949m, peak in the enteral Karakoram in the Northern Pakistan. Similar to other peaks in the area it is technically challenging on all sides. The South West ridge was first climbed by the Japanese in 1979 using 1600m of fixed rope and was repeated by three Italians in 1988 climbing Alpine style with a little help from old Japanese ropes and taking 8 days.
