Welcome to the amazing world of mountaineering in Pakistan. The Trango Towers are a remarkable family of rock towers; it is one of the most spectacular granite towers in the world. These towers boast some of the world’s largest cliffs, providing challenging big wall climbing opportunities that attract climbers from around the globe. The highest point within the group is the summit of great Trango Tower at 6286M, the east face of which features the world’s greatest vertical drop. All of the Trango Tower lies on a ridge, running northwest to southwest, with Trango Glacier to the west and the Done Glacier to the east. Great Trango Tower itself is a large massif, with four identifiable summits. The Main summit is at 6286M, southwest 6250M, east 6231M, and West 6223M. It is a complex combination of steep snow/ice gullies, steeper rock faces, and vertical to overhanging headwalls, topped by a snow ridge system.Overall, the Trango Towers group has been some of the most difficult and magnificent big wall climbs ever accomplished, due to the combination of altitude, total height of the routes, and steeper of the rock. All of the routs are highly technical climbs.
